Need more proof that the IRS is unrelenting when it comes to collecting unpaid back taxes? A recent article by the Associated Press reveals that “the IRS filed nearly 1.1 million liens in the budget year that ended in September, a 14 percent jump over the previous year.”
For those who are unfamiliar with tax liens, they are essentially punishments for taxpayers who have fallen behind on their taxes for years.

According to recently released statistics, IRS audits have jumped a whopping 11% this year-targetting the wealthiest and business owners.
