My colleagues and I have recently returned from a very rewarding weekend in Las Vegas where we attended the Super Advanced Tax Resolution Seminar hosted by ASTPS (American Society of Tax Problem Solvers).

The Zeus Trojan attacks again!
According to PC1News.com, taxpayers received fake email messages from the IRS which inform them that the tax payments they made were rejected. Then the taxpayer would be redirected to the malicious website where users would have to enter the private information. The Zeus Trojan then saves this sensitive information for whatever purposes they wish.

One of our clients, Brenda V., a taxpayer from West Covina, CA, owed 6 years’ worth of back taxes to the IRS – amounting to more than $38,000 before qualifying for a tax settlement of $582 through the IRS Offer in Compromise (OIC) program.
