Nonpayment of payroll taxes is taken very seriously by the IRS. Payroll taxes are considered a “trust tax” and when employers try to evade paying the payroll taxes due, or simply not pay them at all, the IRS can be very aggressive in their collection attempts. Unpaid payroll taxes can cause you to lose your business – and your freedom – as demonstrated in this article below:

These taxes are to be turned over to the government no later than three days after the pay date of the payroll checks. The IRS is very aggressive in their collection of payroll taxes because it is considered a “trust tax” and non-payment of payroll taxes to the IRS is considered “theft”. Perfect example in the article below.
Eric Jon Eisenhower, of Fairfax Station, Va., was sentenced to 19 months in prison

Although April 15th has already come and gone this year it might be too soon to let out a sigh of relief. The IRS is coming down hard on non-compliant taxpayers. They’ve recently ramped up the Whistleblowers Program–a form of tattle-tail for adults–that could result in an extensive and frustrating battle between you and the IRS if you’ve neglected obtaining IRS Tax Relief and still owe back taxes.
