Need for Tax Relief Grows as Administration Proposes $1.13 Billion Increase to IRS Budget

According to Reuters news service, the Obama Administration’s proposed 2012 budget includes a $1.13 billion increase in funding for the IRS.  About $460 million of the increase, which brings the total IRS budget to a whopping $13.3 billion, is slated for tax enforcement programs. The increase allows the IRS to hire 5,100 new employees, most of whom will go after delinquent taxpayers both large and small.
