Tax Relief News: Survey Reveals Tax Cheats to be Young, Single and Male

I recently came across an interesting article on CNN with some surprising stats. In Tax cheats: Single, young and male, an annual survey conducted by DDB Worldwide Communications Group found that the typical American tax cheat is male, single and under the age of 45. According to the survey:

Need for Tax Relief Grows as Administration Proposes $1.13 Billion Increase to IRS Budget

According to Reuters news service, the Obama Administration’s proposed 2012 budget includes a $1.13 billion increase in funding for the IRS.  About $460 million of the increase, which brings the total IRS budget to a whopping $13.3 billion, is slated for tax enforcement programs. The increase allows the IRS to hire 5,100 new employees, most of whom will go after delinquent taxpayers both large and small.
