A North Carolina man received 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to aiding the filing of false income tax returns.
Julio Spiro Dibbi, of Forsyth County, N.C., was charged with nine counts of willfully aiding the filing of false income tax returns and five counts of interfering with internal revenue laws for the tax years 2005 and 2006.
The charges alleged, among other claims, that Dibbi knowingly claimed false Schedule A business deductions to include employee expenses, business travel, work telephone and uniform cleaning.
