California Woman Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion Charge

California resident, Marjan Pousti, pleaded guilty to attempted tax evasion for the 2005 tax year. Pousti and her husband operated a cosmetic surgery business in San Diego County. Pousti was in charge of handling the books for the business. According to court records, Pousti concealed cash income that her cosmetic surgery business received from the IRS. She used the cash payments to purchase money orders to pay bills, including mortgage payments. It probably would have helped if she remembered that the IRS is the largest collection agency on the planet! They spend all of their time assessing and collecting taxes.
