ARIZ. MAN FACES THREE YEARS FOR BAD RETURN
Robert N. Shearburn Sr., 65, of Glendale, Ariz., pleaded guilty to filing a false tax return. Shearburn admitted that on April 5, 2001, he admitted that he falsely reported his income as $58,806. In fact, for tax years 1999-2001, Shearburn stated that his underreported gross income was approximately $830,000, with a tax due and owing of $232,400. He faces up to three years in prison and a 100,000 fine.
