I am assuming that most people who evade taxes do so because they want to keep the money all for themselves. Well, for all of those currently evading taxes, I say enjoy it while it lasts . . . because it won’t last long. Once the IRS catches up with you, and I am not saying “if” the IRS catches up with you (because they will!), you will not only

I got an interesting email recently regarding the new health care law (see below for full email message) . The email FALSELY claims that the new legislation would require workers to pay income tax on the value of employer-provided health insurance. This is simply not the case.
It’s true that the value of employer-paid health insurance will be added to employees’ W-2 forms for information purposes, however, contrary to this

Congress has increased the IRS’s enforcement budget to a record $5.5 billion — meaning hundreds of new agents hired for IRS audits and investigations. Fiscal year 2009 saw 1.425 million examinations of individual tax returns – the most seen all decade. The IRS also filed more than 3 million bank levies and nearly 1 million tax liens.
The trend towards tougher enforcement against tax avoidance means that more Americans than ever

When it comes to tax audits, the IRS wins 80% of the time. Taxpayers are deemed guilty till proven innocent, which means the IRS can start an audit by disallowing every deduction you made on a return until each one is proven to be legitimate. If a taxing authority has decided to audit you, it’s important that you don’t let yourself be pushed around by the IRS. Additionally, if

After the deal almost fell apart, the Swiss parliament and Swiss bank UBS agree to provide data to the IRS, finally collapsing the world’s most famous tax shelter.
