FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inaugural Meeting for New National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies to be Held in May 20 and 21, 2012
Tax Problem Resolution Services Coalition, founded with help by Tax Resolution Services, Co.® CEO Michael Rozbruch, announces inaugural meeting for new National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies in May 2012.
Encino, CA - December 2011 - The inaugural meeting of the National Association
of Tax Debt Resolution Companies will be held May 20 and 21 in Washington, DC. The
conference will be a chance for industry colleagues to learn about the new
challenges facing the industry and public policy options while helping to
create a unique voice for tax resolution businesses. Speaking at the event will
be Karen Hawkins, Director of the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility; a division
of the IRS that establishes and enforces consistent standards of competence, integrity and
conduct for tax professionals.
Recent efforts of the federal and state governments to regulate tax debt resolution companies has
spurred the collaboration of numerous tax resolution professionals to join forces to help
represent the tax resolution services industry. The Tax Problem Resolution Service Coalition (TPRSC), a
watchdog group of enrolled agents, tax attorneys and CPA's, including companies that
provide representation services has drafted its own proposed state and federal legislation
to set best practice guidelines, standards and increase transparency of the industry. With
the help of tax lobbyist Mark Guimond, the TPRSC has established the new National Association
of Tax Debt Resolution Companies representing the needs specific to tax resolution companies.
"The establishment of the National Association of Tax Debt Resolutions Companies will provide
a distinct voice and representation of the tax debt resolution industry as changes and legislations
start to move forward." says Guimond, who is working with the TPRSC and the association.
The tax debt resolution industry has been under watch by federal and state regulators due to
an increase in scammers acting as tax relief professionals. The work of the TPRSC and the
new National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies will educate consumers and
legislators on the importance of tax resolution companies and will work to differentiate
the fraudsters from the legit tax debt relief specialists.
"The entire tax problem resolution industry is under the magnifying glass right now, and some
of the legislation that the federal and state regulators are proposing would lump the good
firms in with the bad. If the regulators are not careful, they would be essentially denying
the American consumer from getting proper representation if the credible 'good firms' were no
longer in business. We want to separate the bad seeds from the good- our own legislation
on the federal and state levels is how to do that." said
Rozbruch, a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist and one of the most recognized experts in
tax problem resolution.
Rozbruch says "The creation of the National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies is the
next step in the industry to making sure our proposed legislation is passed."
